An air of sadness surrounded the house that morning
the little fat dog was gone.
His mates knew it and laid on the cold concrete
lost, they waited the initiative that for more than three years
the little fat dog had provided.
The masters, alone in their rooms, mourned
A tear for his absence
A laugh for the memories he left behind.
Never again would they find in the carport
the warm shit to welcome them home
Even though the little dog was gone
his smell permeated the house
A memory of his shorts days with us,
his time at the house was fully enjoyed
eating, sleeping, running, fucking.
the life every mammal would dream of.
Now run free, young soul, dirty dog
We'll find each other again

July, July, July, it never seemed so strange

I have very vague memories of this place, from way before they were called "social networks" I remember making some pretty cool friends on this site, most older and wiser than I was at that age, my horrible teenage years of rebelion and angst.

It happened last night as I was looking through a pile of letters that I found some actual-paper pieces of mail that I used to correspond with some friends I made here that I remembered all about it. Nostalgia swept me like a tsunami and here I am, a day later because it took me forever to get into this damn site, I had forgotten my password as well as my old email password.

I doubt anyone will read this, it doesn't matter, I am mostly writting it for myself. I noticed I last posted something here two years ago.

this is me now.

I just got another envelope from Oak Grove School (my HS) asking for money donations. They give me this whole blah blah bullshit about "what is sacred" and the awakening of the intelligence, importance of other hippie bullcrap. Shut your fucking mouth! If there was a way you could assure me that the cash I were to send would go to students or even to the school and not to another Porsche for the fucking chairman of the Krishnamurti Foundation then I would consider it, but I was there for four years and I know how shit goes down. You don't deserve to use the name of Krishnamurti in your greenwashed foundation. I witnessed several of my friends drop out of school when they couldn't afford tuition while the Foundation used their money to build yet another library. Angry much? yes I am, I went to Oak Grove School because it was founded by Jiddu Krishnamurti and figured that a school that followed his teachings was the best thing for me, silly kid, don't believe anything you read. Look at this beautiful tri-foldout brochure you sent me full of wonderful images and heart-warming lies asking me for cash. It's just so legit that I couldn't help myself to look up the prices to get something like this printed and found out that the minimum price was around 1,400 dollars for having 5,000 of this things printed, now let's add the 80 cents it takes to mail each and every one of this and we have a total of something like 5,400 dollaz, so lets round it up to like a buck per brochure and who knows how many of these things you guys had made and sent. Now let's see the tuition for a kid in any of the other Krishnamurti schools in India...oh there we go, 300 Rupees, which is 6.75 US dollars. Mother of all indecency, for the price it took you guys to print and send 5,000 brochures you could have sent about 885 kids to school. Well done Krishnamurti foundation of America.

Teaching Tolerance to a generation raised by homophobes.
09:12pm 31/01/2011

Good evening ladies and gents, friends and internet acquaintances.

(note: if you got ADD or get easily distracted or just get bored by seeing lots of print, you can just read the underlined text, thanks.)

Some of you know, and some don't but at the moment I am teaching Social Sciences at a private school in Mexico, I am also the Guidance Counselor for the school, I know what you think, with me as a counselor all those kids are gonna end up cynical, fucked up and with weird ideas of the world and probably keen on pills. I really don't mind about that, but one thing that is important to me is to get through to these kids and turn them into tolerant and respectful human beings.

Recently some of the kids have brought up the issues of homosexuality, and of course that being from a city in Mexico that is a tad north from the Capital, these kids were raised by old-school-homophobe-parents. Some of them by Macho types who would kick them out of home if their kids were to "turn gay." This of course is a damn problem for any kid who is frightened to come out and be true to him/herself as well as the rest of the kids who have a misguided idea on homosexuality.

Because of this, the school board has asked me to bring up the theme of homosexuality to the kids and teach them about homosexuality in reality and correct their askew ideas on the subject. Of course that I accepted the task and have been doing some good reading on the subject other than my real life experiences with my wonderful friends who taught me so much but still, I would love to hear other people's opinion on the subject and perhaps things you would like these kids to know about, or opinions/stories anything that could help me in dealing with these kids.

So I ask you for any sort of help you could bring to the subject. The class is in about a week and even tho I feel prepared I would very much appreciate anything you would like to add to the subject, any link, video, text, story. Your personal opinion being straight or gay. You can post on this comment or if you prefer to send me a private message, I would really appreciate it and of course keep your comments and stories anonymous.

And to break the ice I will give you a small story. I went to high school in a small town north of LA, the town only had one movie theater and they often played old movies that you could probably already rent. So I would drive to Ventura to watch movies, now don't be surprised when I tell you that Ventura has certain population of rednecks who proudly wear the confederate flag on their cars amongst other things. But back to the story, I would drive to Ventura, and in case you don't know I used to drive an Orange beetle convertible and I still dress in a style different than the California boy standard of cargo shorts, flip flops and shirts or hoodies, and of course I was thinner that I am now. To a redneck this means only one thing: gay. Any guy who is thin, dresses with style and rides around in an orange bug is obviously gay. So this time around a group of bored white supremacy kids followed me to my car right after my movie was over, soon came the standard salute of "hey fag!" along with other lines I wish not use because they are a waste of space on this note. Soon it became a bit more violent as the bros started pushing me around and finally left me on the floor and walked away laughing in victory. Of course this is nothing compared to what real homosexuals have to stand all over the world, but it gave me a taste of the ignorance of the people. Now, before I end the story and the note I will add that this happened again with the same group of kids in the same parking lot, but this time around I carried a Louisville Slugger hidden under my coat. They never bother me again.

Anyting but a wild child.
12:22pm 22/10/2010
I just spent a whole part of my morning watching a documentary and reading about Genie, a "feral child" who spent nearly all of the first thirteen years of her life locked inside a bedroom strapped to a potty chair. She was a victim of one of the most severe cases of social isolation in American history. Seeing that this happened in the 70s, the scientists and media called her a "wild child" which I believe to be a terrible name since she was anything but wild, she never learned to speak or to interact or anything of the sort, so when she was discovered by Los Angeles authorities on November 4, 1970 she was still a baby in her mind, action and spirit. It truly is a heartbreaking story that strengthens my love and hate for humanity. Love for the few people who truly cared for her and did anything to help her and for Genie herself who is a rare definition of true innocence. And hate for the people who allowed this to happen and who only saw opportunity on her situation...but what can I say, if you are interested here is the entire documentary, it's very interesting and intriguing so if you got nothing better to do, give this a go:
